Protective equipment for healthcare workers

In March 2020, as the first cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Peru, there was a dire lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers in precarious conditions. Help Peru tended to this need by joining forces with Fundacion OLI, a nonprofit in Lima with the initial goal to supply 10,000 PPE kits to 5 designated public hospitals in Lima. Help Peru’s donation provided 4,500 PPE kits that were timely delivered in April 2020 and were used by an estimated 1,000 healthcare workers.

Fundacion OLI is a solidarity platform dedicated to channeling efforts, resources, and thus connecting people and institutions for equal opportunities through strategic alliances, solidarity projects and initiatives, and humanitarian aid campaigns.
