Third Annual Benefit Dinner & Auction (2016)

On October 20th, Help Peru hosted its third annual benefit event. The event gathered over 170 people at The Gansevoort Hotel in Park Avenue, in New York. The evening was sponsored by Pisco 100, Cerveza Cusqueña, Limanjar, Panca Restaurant, and Codorniu Cava and featured two of our ambassadors: renowned chef Javier “Chez” Wong, and Peruvian soccer idol Teófilo “El Nene” Cubillas.

During the cocktail hour, a jazz trio livened up the atmosphere, guests enjoyed pisco sours and placed bids on silent auction items. Chez Wong offered a live demonstration of his world famous ceviche. Dinner started with opening remarks from HelpPeru’s President, Fernando Bravo, and the premiere of Help Peru’s institutional video. Michael Holme (HP Director) introduced Juan Carlos Sznak, CEO and co-founder of Hoseg, one of the foundations we support, who presented the company’s “buy one give one” model, whereby a kid in the Andes receives a jacket from Hoseg for every jacket that a customer buys from Hoseg.

This was our most successful event since the foundation of Help Peru, raising over $100,000. The proceeds will help expand our charitable efforts inPeru. Thank you for your support!
