We have helped 400,000 Peruvians fight Covid-19

Help Peru has been supporting the relief efforts of 8 organizations during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have helped fulfill the most urgent needs of approximately 200,000 people all over Peru through the following actions.

Supported an estimated 6,000 people in Arequipa by partnering with Arequipa’s Chamber of Commerce to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to health centers, and food baskets for 2 weeks to quarantined families.

Kantaya
Delivered basic food baskets for 260 families in need (approximately 1,300 people) in the district of Ventanilla (Callao province), which provided 8 days of food supplies.

DB Peru
Supported 3 health centers in the Amazon (in Mazan, Indiana and Orellana), which serve 40,000 people. Help Peru’s donation provided PPE, oxygen and temperature monitoring and supplies, intravenous and disinfecting supplies.
Provided safe water & hygiene kits (with water filters) for 18 health centers, 1 orphanage and 4 schools that cover 811 people daily in rural Cusco. The health centers serve 65,971 people.

Fundación OLI
Provided 4,500 PPE kits to protect healthcare workers in public hospitals in Lima, benefitting approximately 1,000 healthcare workers.

Minga Peru
Supported the production of 20 radio episodes of “Bienvenida Salud” (tuned-in by 360,000 people in the Amazon) and 10 short radio stories on COVID-19 prevention, recorded in Spanish and 3 indigenous Amazonian languages.
ANIA

Contributed to the development of audiovisual content (podcasts and virtual stories) to teach children environment conservation. The stories will be broadcasted on national television, radio stations and will be available to download.

Thank you

for making all this possible!
